I'm misunderstood because you get to hear everything from Jessica's side of the story.  

Julius and I were really close.   He trusted me.   He knew I could get the Humanist movement going.   Julius' vision was for a worldwide movement of billions of people.

Jessica blew all that.   She and Brian froze me out of the movement after Julius died.   Over this ridiculous notion that you lose your soul if your genes have been enhanced before birth.

Julius and I understood that things in the world aren't always black and white.   So now the Humanists are this little backwater, when they could have been a part of world history.
